During 2019 I applied for an artist residency program, submitted a few pieces of work and information about myself and my art, and anticipated notification on January 1st, their proposed announcement date. During October 2019 I received notification for acceptance into the residency, with the month of April 2020 as my residency period. Then COVID struck.

So, for the entire month of September 2021 (after COVID rescheduling), I will be spending the month creating art alongside 14 other very talented artists from various countries. The best part is, I will be an Artist-in-Residence at Chateau d’Orquevaux in France. I was also awarded a grant and my work will be a part of the chateau’s permanent collection. It's an extraordinary opportunity and I'm both excited for the adventure and a bit overwhelmed by the recognition and opportunity.
